Description
This vibrant, hand-carved wooden figure depicts a horse in a dynamic leaping pose over a stylized red brick wall. A classic example of Kondapalli Bommalu (Kondapalli toys) from Andhra Pradesh, India, this piece is crafted from lightweight softwood and finished with a traditional white lacquer-style base. The horse is intricately decorated with hand-painted harness and saddle motifs in a palette of Deep Terracotta, orange, and black. The figure is mounted on a rectangular wooden base featuring a geometric “sawtooth” pattern and a hand-dotted border.
