Function & Form: Traditionally utilized in Southeast Asia (particularly Northern Thailand) for the storage of sticky rice, this container is engineered with a central wooden frame wrapped within a protective hand-woven bamboo basketry lattice.
Artistry & Ornamentation: The vessel is finished using traditional regional lacquerware processes, yielding a rich red cinnabar surface accented with a deep black base and interior finish.
