Description
This charming mid-20th-century round wall mirror is a classic example of Hungarian folk artistry, specifically the Kalotaszeg style found in ethnic Hungarian enclaves of Transylvania. Appx. 13″ the circular wooden frame is finished in a dark base, providing a bold contrast for the vibrant, hand-painted floral motifs. The design features traditional elements, including stylized tulips and roses in shades of red, blue, and yellow.
Collected during the 2003 Craft World Tours expedition, this piece reflects the rich cultural heritage of Eastern European village crafts and remains a standout decorative accent for global or bohemian-inspired interiors.
