Overview
Traditional Indian lidded storage vessel (dahi handi/curd pot form), likely in the Pokhran-style burnished gray-black earthenware tradition of Rajasthan.

Design & Craftsmanship
Function & Form: Lidded storage vessel with a domed lid rising to a stupa/lotus-bud style finial set within a pleated, fan-like collar.
Artistry & Ornamentation: Densely hand-incised concentric and geometric bands cover the body: circle-and-dot motifs, a scalloped rim border, and a wide lower band of stamped oval motifs, on unglazed, burnished gray earthenware.
Structural Base: Wheel-thrown or coil-built, burnished to a soft matte-gray sheen; no maker’s mark visible.

Surface Condition: No chips or cracks apparent; lid fits its rim well.
