Description
Overview
A traditional Mexican molinillo, a hand-carved wooden whisk used to froth hot chocolate, atole, and champurrado by spinning the handle between the palms. Craft World Tours’ 2007 “Christmas in Oaxaca” itinerary documented visits to folk potters, ceramic artists, and woodcarvers in and around Oaxaca, a primary source region for this style of woodcarving.
