Overview

This hand-painted mug comes from Korond (Corund), a renowned pottery village in the Transylvania region of Romania, home to generations of Hungarian Székely folk potters. The cream-glazed body is decorated with the traditional stylized tulip/pomegranate motif in bold black and orange, flanked by green scrollwork foliage.

  • Artistry & Ornamentation: Cream ground with double cobalt-blue banding at rim and foot; hand-painted black-and-white hatched floral medallion with orange blossoms and green leaves
